Kyle Hayes is among nine of the Limerick team that started last year’s All-Ireland final named to begin Saturday’s Allianz Hurling League Division 1B Round 3 clash with Dublin in Croke Park.
The five-time All-Ireland winner and three-time All-Star will learn on March 20 if he is to serve a custodial sentence arising from two counts of violent disorder at a nightclub in Limerick city in October 2019.
The 26-year-old and Diarmaid Byrnes form two-thirds of the half-back line that began the win over Kilkenny last July. David Reidy, who lined out at centre-forward that day, is announced at centre-back.
Aside from that trio, Quaid, Mike Casey, Barry Nash, William O’Donoghue, Darragh O’Donovan and Gearóid Hegarty are set to begin the game. Included on the bench are Seamus Flanagan, the Morrissey brothers Dan and Tom and veteran Graeme Mulcahy.
