Jerome Stack departs role as St Brigid's boss

Jerome Stack has departed his role as St Brigid's senior football manager. 

Stack led the Roscommon outfit to the recent All-Ireland club SFC final at Croke Park, where they lost out to Watty Graham's Glen.

Stack's outfit led Malachy O'Rourke's Glen side by as much as four points as late as the 55th minute last Sunday, only for a Conor Glass goal to form part of a late fightback from the eventual victors. 

The Listowel native - who was in charge of Brigid's for the past two campaigns - spearheaded their title charge in Roscommon, as well as their dominant victory over Corofin in Connacht. 

"Our club senior team manager Jerome Stack has decided to step down," a statement on the club's social media read. "Jerome has been at the helm as manager for the last two years, guiding us to the All-Ireland Final last Sunday. 

"Jerome has brought a wealth of coaching knowledge and experience to our team which brought us on a brilliant journey this year and saw our players bring that level of performance to Croke Park last Sunday We know the players will benefit greatly in the future from Jerome’s time with St Brigid's and his driven and meticulous work ethic.

"St. Brigid’s executive would sincerely like to thank Jerome for all his hard work, dedication and commitment to the club as manager. 

"We would also like to extend our thanks to Jerome’s management and backroom team for their dedication over the past two years.

"Wishing Jerome the very best of luck in his future endeavours."
