Multiple All-Ireland senior camogie winner Fiona O’Driscoll has joined Ger Manley’s backroom team as coach/selector. The sharp-shooting dual star - the Ballymacoda native is best remembered as the hat-trick hero of the 2002 All-Ireland senior camogie final win over Tipperary - is already a winning coach/trainer with Cork in the mid-noughties.
Manley, who was formally ratified as the Rebels senior camogie manager in November along with head coach Liam Cronin, is also assisted by coach/selector Brendan O’Driscoll (Carrigaline). Dave O’Connell is Strength & Conditioning Coach.
The reigning All-Ireland champions will commence their Division 1A league campaign away to Kilkenny on February 17, followed a week later by a repeat of the 2023 All-Ireland final when they travel to Waterford where former Cork minor manager Jerry Wallace is now in charge.
It is confirmed that Orla Cronin and Chloe Sigerson will not be part of Manley’s squad this year, as both players have opted to step away.
There are a number of new additions to the panel including sisters Orlaith and Clare Mullins, and Niamh O’Callaghan from senior county champions Sarsfields.
