Limerick sharpshooter Mulcahy stays on board for 2024

All in for the drive for five, as it has been confirmed that Graeme Mulcahy will go again with the Limerick hurlers in 2024.
33-year-old Mulcahy is Limerick’s oldest outfield player. His decision to commit for a 16th season in green means John Kiely will have a full hand to pick from as the county chases a historic five-in-a-row next year.
Mulcahy’s Kilmallock clubmate Paudie O’Brien said the veteran forward is a “huge leader” within the Limerick set-up.
“I'd say if you asked a lot of the Limerick lads, and from what I would know of him, it is what he does behind the scenes is where you'd get most of his value. He'd be a huge leader, very well spoken. An unbelievable professional,” Kerry coach O’Brien remarked at Monday’s launch of the Co-Op Superstores Munster SHL.
“Himself and Nickie (Quaid) were there in the bad days. Graeme was there in 2010 when there was a strike. People would forget that he would have taken a fair couple of clippings that year and other years, as well. I am delighted to see those lads progress their way through because they deserve it.” ENDS
