So many elements conspired against this Munster final and somehow it still delivered

Only one response can do on a day like that. Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Embrace the pain. Club football isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain. No better men than the Haven.
So many elements conspired against this Munster final and somehow it still delivered

MONSOON: Castlehaven's Jack Cahalane works the ball back under pressure from Dylan Geaney of Dingle in Sunday's Munster Club SFC final at TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.

Bring out the pitchforks. This is scuffling season. West Cork v West Kerry in appalling conditions was only ever going to produce an extraordinary contest. A proper final in a winter wetland.

It started with diligent groundskeepers poking and prodding the field in a bid to alleviate the surface water. It concluded with a penalty shoot-out and a fourth Munster crown for Castlehaven. The poor pitch long ground into a sludge by then.
