One of Galway’s longest serving GAA leaders has warned that the rocketing cost of funding inter-county teams should not come at the expense of developing training facilities and existing stadiums.

Seamus O’Grady, who is stepping down as county committee secretary having served the maximum term of five years and who is poised to become a Connacht Council delegate, said while another ‘healthy surplus’ was recorded in Galway’s finance for 2023, they need to be vigilant.
