RIP: Former GAA correspondent for The Kerryman, Eamon Horan, has passed away aged 87.

I had two mentors keeping me between the ditches when I gave up a promising career washing dishes for this trade – Harry MacMonagle from Killarney and Castle Island’s Con Houlihan. 

Frequently delightful gatherings that featured a third wise owl, Eamon Horan from Tralee, expedited the smoothing of rougher edges.
