Sars tears over loss of Ger Mohally

Sarsfields hurling club is mourning the death of Ger Mohally.

They've dealt with storms and flooding across their community, literally in the gates of their own club in Riverstown, but nothing as heart-rending for the Sarsfields club in Cork as losing too soon one of their true under-age stalwarts - a man who did it all, from managing the Under 15s to running the club shop.

Hence the sense of numbness around Glanmire at the untimely passing of Ger Mohally (51), a mentor described by Sars as "a much respected and loved figure" in the club.
