Former Dublin defender Ger Brennan has been ratified as the new Louth senior football manager.
The St Vincent’s man has been given a two-year term and replaces Mickey Harte who stepped away last month to take the vacant Derry position.
Brennan has previously managed Kildare side Moorefield and was selector to Niall Carew in Carlow.
The UCD GAA executive, who was also linked to the Laois manager’s role, will be joined by Professor Niall Moyna, who he worked with in Dublin during Pat Gilroy’s time in charge. Moyna will be head of coaching and a selector.
Former Down manager James McCartan is also part of the management team as a forwards coach and selector. Ex-Kildare player David Whyte is selector/transitional coach while former Leinster, Munster, and Connacht rugby player James Downey is high performance and culture coach. Paul O’Flynn is listed as sports psychologist.
