Carrigaline 2-3 Mallow 1-6

You didn’t have to be a genius to work out which team was the happier leaving sodden Blarney on Sunday afternoon. Fourteen-man Mallow had just battled back to earn a draw against 13-man Carrigaline in this crucial Bon Secours Cork Premier SFC relegation battle. The 2021 SAFC champions kicked a decisive 1-2 in the final eight minutes plus stoppage - the goal from sub Seán Hayes in the 56th minute was followed by the match-equalising point from an almost impossible angle by Seán McDonnell.
