All-Ireland finalists Cork and Waterford dominate the list of nominations for the highly anticipated 2023 PwC Camogie All-Star Awards.
The Rebels, who landed the O’Duffy Cup with an incredible display against Waterford at Croke Park, lead the way with an impressive total of eleven nominations.
The Déise follow closely with nine nominations, while Galway, Tipperary, and 2022 All-Ireland Champions, Kilkenny, also receive well-deserved recognition with seven, six, and three nominations respectively.
The eagerly anticipated awards ceremony will take place at Croke Park on November 4 when the PwC GPA Camogie Player of the Year will also be named.
The nominations were selected and voted by intercounty players, through the GPA, with Amy O’Connor of Cork arguably the favourite to land the award although she will face stiff competition from her teammate Saoirse McCarthy and Waterford’s Beth Carton.
The 2023 PwC Soaring Stars and Manager of the Year winners will be announced on Monday, 25th September.
Speaking to mark the announcement of the PwC All-Stars, Camogie Association Uachtarán Hilda Breslin said; “2023 has been an extraordinary year, showcasing exceptional talent and unwavering determination from all the players.
