Leitrim manager Shane Ward resigns

Their championship campaign was brought to a halt with an 11-point defeat to Sligo.

Shane Ward has stepped down as manager of the Leitrim footballers.

Following their Connacht championship exit to Roscommon, Leitrim registered a first round qualifier win over Waterford.
