JBM and Cuthbert make strong Cork selection switches
By Peter McNamara
Shane O’Neill has returned to Cork’s starting line-up for Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC quarter-final against Galway while Alan Cadogan drops out of the side.
O’Neill will start at corner-back alongside Brian Murphy and Stephen McDonnell.
Jimmy Barry-Murphy has made positional switches to every line from the original 15 that took to the field as Cork defeated Clare 0-20 to 0-17 except for the full-forward line.

Damien Cahalane switches to wing-back with Mark Ellis at centre-back and Cormac Murphy stationed in the opposite flank to the St Finbarr’s clubman.
At midfield, Aidan Walsh, hugely effective at wing-back against Davy Fitzgerald’s men, will partner ever-present middle-third operator Daniel Kearney.

Brian Lawton takes Cadogan’s place in the No 10 role with Patrick Cronin and Bill Cooper, exceptional in the Leesiders’ most recent Championship outing, completing the half-forward line.
As highlighted, Conor Lehane, Seamus Harnedy and Patrick Horgan retain their inside forward line positions.
Meanwhile, Brian Cuthbert has been able to recall Eoin Cadogan to his unit for the Rebels’ All-Ireland SFC qualifier as Cork attempt to overcome Kildare in Semple Stadium on Saturday night.
Cadogan did not feature in the replayed Munster SFC final last Saturday night in Killarney due to injury but has recovered and will join Alan O’Connor in midfield.
However, Brian Hurley has been left out of Cuthbert’s starting line-up following two below-par performances in Fitzgerald Stadium in contrast to his usually excellent standards.

Cuthbert has opted for the same full-back line that began the 1-11 to 1-6 reverse to Kerry.
The half-back line remains in situ too but Barry O’Driscoll and Stephen Cronin have switched wings.
Unfortunately, Patrick Kelly is not available for the tie having picked up a knock which is a massive blow to Cork.
However, it is possible of course, he will return once more if the Leesiders qualify to meet Dublin in the last eight of the All-Ireland series.
Tigerish operator Colm O’Driscoll also gets the nod at wing-forward with Mark Collins and Kevin O’Driscoll alongside the Tadhg MacCarthaigh’s player in the half-forward line.
Colm O’Neill, Paul Kerrigan and Donncha O’Connor have been detailed as front-line attackers.
John O'Rourke also returns to Cork's bench on the back of a shoulder problem.
