VIDEO: Magnificent Shefflin touch leaves Galway for dead

Kilkenny booked their place in the national league final with a 1-16 to 0-15 point win over Galway, thanks in no small part to Henry Shefflin.

The Ballyhale star’s four point total, all from play, was second only to club mate TJ Reid who hit five scores including four frees.

Early in the second half Shefflin produced one amazing piece of skill to remind us why he’s known simply as the King.

Coming out to meet a long clearance, Shefflin’s deft stick work killed the ball dead in an instant before feeding the ball to Reid with some slight of hand that takes a few looks at to really appreciate.

It’s the sort of thing that reminds us that much of Shefflin’s greatness is in the economical simplicity of his play.
