GAA hurling county final and interprovincial wrap

Kilcormac-Killoughey, Oulart the Ballagh and Mount Leinster Rangers booked semi-final berths in the AIB Leinster Club SHC, while their were county title wins for Midleton and St Gabriel's in Cork and London respectively.

Reigning champions Kilcormac Killoughey shook off a determined Camross side as they recorded a 1-18 to 1-10 win at O'Moore Park.

Camross led by 0-6 to 0-3 after 13 minutes with Zane Keenan leading their charge, but found themselves two points in arrears at the interval, after Ciaran Slevin inspired a Kilcormac-Killoughey comeback.

Camross were held scoreless for 17 minutes after the restart, as Kilcormac-Killoughey fired 1-6 without reply including a James Gorman goal.

Kilcormac-Killoughey opened up a 1-16 to 0-8 lead with 14 minutes remaining, and although captain Tomás Burke netted a goal for Camross, it was too late as the Offaly champions held out for an eight-point win.

Oulart the Ballagh showed great determination to break their recent Leinster hoodoo, as they got off to an impressive start in this years champions thanks to a 0-20 to 2-11 win over recently crowned Kilkenny champions Clara at Nowlan Park.

Clara led by 0-5 to 0-1 after just seven minutes, and held a 0-7 to 0-4 lead at the end of the opening quarter.

However Oulart took a 0-8 to 0-7 interval lead following a David Redmond point.

Two goals in a four-minute spell, with Chris Bolger and James Nolan threatened to rock Oulart, but the five-in-a-row Wexford champions dug deep.

Clara were held scoreless for the remainder of the game, as scores from Des Mythen, Rory Jacob, Garrett Sinnott and Conor O'Leary pushed Oulart to a three-point win.

Mount Leinster Rangers will face the Dublin SHC champions in the Leinster semi-finals, after a hard-earned 1-15 to 1-13 win over Castletown Geoghegan in Mullingar.

The Westmeath champions led by 1-7 to 0-5 at half-time, with Alan Mangan netting their goal, but MLR were very impressive on the restart.

An Eddie Byrne goal helped steer the Carlow side to a last four clash, as they carved out a two-point win.

Conor Lehane bagged 2-10 as Midleton were crowned Cork Senior Hurling Champions for the first time since 1991, following a 2-15 to 2-13 win over Sarsfields at Pairc Uí Chaoimh.

Senior Star Lehane was hugely impressive for his club, who were appearing in their first county decider since 1994.

A fifth minute goal from Lehane got Midleton off to a tremendous start and they led by 2-7 to 1-8 at the break, with Michael Cussen netting Sarsfields goal.

Cian McCarthy fired Sarsfields second goal on the restart, but little separated the sides in the second half.

The teams were tied at 2-13 apiece with eight minutes left on the clock, but late points from Lehane and Luke O'Farrell steered Midleton to victory.

Last year's beaten All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling finalists St Gabriel's came back from the dead, to retain their London Senior Hurling title, following a 3-16 to 2-5 win over Brother Pearses at Ruislip.

In the end Gabriels had 14 points to spare, but they done it the hard way - scoring 3-7 without reply in the final 20 minutes to take their 16th London title, and their third in the space of five years.

Brother Pearses led by 2-3 to 0-6 at half-time, with the underdogs bagging two goals from Tipperary duo Paul Egan and Philip Horgan inside the opening 15 minutes to help them to an early 2-1 to 0-2 lead.

Aided by a strong breeze Gabriels worked hard to overturn a three-point interval deficit on the restart.

Galway native Ger Hennelly netted two goals in as many minutes as Gabriels held a 2-12 to 2-5 lead entering the closing 13 minutes.

Cork's Martin Finn followed up with Gabriel's third goal in injury-time to ensure a third title in five years.
