Limerick maintained their unbeaten start to the Allianz Football League Division 4 campaign following a two-point win over Waterford, while Tipperary, Leitrim and Clare also recorded victories.

The top of the table clash at Fraher Field in Dungarvan was tight throughout before Limerick ran out 0-8 to 0-6 victors.

Maurice Horan's side led by 0-4 to 0-1 after 22 minutes, following an Eoghan O'Connor point, but Waterford bounced back to leave just two points between the sides at the interval.

Only a point separated them with eight minutes remaining, but the hosts rued 12 wides over the contest as Limerick dug deep late on with Seanie Buckley's 66th-minute point cementing the away triumph.

Just 251 spectators watched on as Tipperary claimed a comfortable 2-12 to 1-8 success over London at Semple Stadium.

The hosts led by 1-6 to 0-3 at half-time, with Conor Sweeney netting a penalty goal before the break.

London cut the gap to four points on the restart with Padraig McCormack netting their goal, but Tipperary dug deep once more with their all-important second goal coming from George Hannigan.

FBD League champions Leitrim kept their positive start to 2013 going with a 1-16 to 0-12 victory over Carlow at Dr. Cullen Park.

Leitrim led by 1-6 to 0-6 at half-time, with James Glancy netting their goal. Carlow were reduced to 14 men before the interval following the dismissal of Derek Hayden.

Leitrim continued to impress on the restart, with Emlyn Mulligan in superb form. Carlow kept in touch thanks to Shane Redmond, Darragh Foley and Kieran Nolan, but Leitrim confidently held out for a seven-point win.

Clare withstood a brave Offaly comeback to take a 0-13 to 2-5 verdict at O'Connor Park in Tullamore this afternoon.

The visitors led by 0-9 to 1-2 after 43 minutes following a Shane McGrath point, but Offaly bounced back into contention.

A Brian Darby goal pushing them a point in front with 15 minutes remaining. However, Clare took the lead with a trio of unanswered scores and produced the stronger finish.
