Kilkenny dominate Leinster hurling squad
Thirteen players from All-Ireland SHC champions Kilkenny will be part of the Leinster panel for Sunday's M Donnelly Interprovincial Hurling Championship semi-final against Connacht.
The Joe Dooley-managed Leinster side are due to face the westerners at O'Connor Park in Tullamore (throw-in 2pm), in a repeat of last year's Interpro decider.
Kilkenny's Richie Power struck 0-10 last March to propel Leinster to a 2-19 to 1-15 final victory over Connacht, with Dublin's Ryan O'Dwyer scoring a brace of goals.
Power is back for more this weekend along fellow Cat Jackie Tyrrell, the province's 2012 captain. Another Kilkenny defender, Brian Hogan, will lead Leinster in this season's Interpro Championship.
Dooley has selected three players from his own county Offaly, including his sharpshooting son Shane, while Willie Hyland is the lone representative from Laois.
Goalkeeper Gary Maguire heads up the Dublin sextet involved, with the capital side boosted by last weekend's Walsh Cup success.
The team the Dubs beat in the Walsh Cup final, Wexford, will have three players on duty with the defending Interpro champions this week - David Redmond, Richie Kehoe and Andrew Shore.
