Connors and Kelly declared fit for Déise

Noel Connors and Eoin Kelly are both in contention to start for Waterford in Sunday's Munster SHC semi-final against Clare at Semple Stadium.

The pair have returned to full training after recovering from their respective back and hand injuries, with former All-Star Kelly also showing good scoring form for his club Passage.

Waterford manager Michael Ryan said: "Noel Connors and Eoin Kelly will definitely be available for the Clare game.

"Noel had to get treatment for a bulging disc in his back, but he's back in full training with us and he's making good progress.

"A second X-ray showed that Eoin hadn't fractured his thumb, and he underlined his fitness by scoring 2-6 (2-4 from play) in a recent club game."

Ryan's charges have benefited from a recent training camp at the Fota Island Resort Hotel in Cork as they look to reach the Munster final for the fourth year in-a-row.

Former captain Stephen Molumphy is expected to play against the Banner men having shaken off a shoulder injury.

However, Pauric Mahony, who underwent a groin operation, and Shane and David O'Sullivan, who are spending the summer months in America, are absent from the panel.
