Hurling League Division 2B round-up
Kildare are top of Division 2B of the Hurling League, Armagh were also victorious this afternoon, while Mayo and Meath drew at McHale Park.
At St Conleth's Park in Newbridge, the Kildare hurlers claimed a 0-24 to 0-15 victory over London.
Kildare led by 0-14 to 0-8 at the interval and opened up an eight-point advantage inside nine minutes of the restart.
There were eight different scorers for Willie Sutherland's charges with centre-back Richie Hoban top-scoring with six points.
Armagh recorded a 1-20 to 1-14 triumph over Roscommon at Crossmaglen today.
The sides were tied at eight points apiece at the break, but Armagh proved strongest on the restart with Ryan Gaffney netting their goal.
Meanwhile, Mayo and Meath played out an entertaining 3-12 to 1-18 draw at McHale Park.
Mayo led by 1-9 to 1-6 at the turnaround. Peter Durnin scored the visitors' goal despite Royals full-back Enda Fitzgerald picking up a red card in the 21st minute.
Meath continued to look dangerous on the restart and added a 38th minute goal from Stephen Horan.
Cillian Farrell's side found it difficult to cope with only 14 men, and Mayo fought back with a penalty goal from goalkeeper Donal O'Brien to make it 3-12 to 1-16 with five minutes remaining.
However, Meath dug deep to score the final two points and ensure a share of the spoils.
