Midfielder Padraig Clancy has failed to recover in time for Laois' Leinster SFC opener against Longford in Portlaoise on Sunday (throw-in 2pm).

The Timahoe clubman picked up a hamstring injury in the early stages of the Allianz Football League Division 2 final against Donegal last month.
