Counihan and McEnaney back February League start date
Cork boss Conor Counihan and new Meath manager Seamus McEnaney have backed the GAA's decision to stick with the current February start to the Allianz National Football and Hurling Leagues.
Interest has been expressed in some quarters to revert to the old-style October start date, with Roscommon putting a motion to GAA Congress in April proposing that the first three rounds of the competitions are played before the winter break.
