One change for Tipp

Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy has made just one change to his team for Sunday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Waterford at Croke Park (throw-in 3.30pm).

Toomevara's John O'Brien returns to the half-forward line, with Shane McGrath dropping back to midfield.

O'Brien comes into the side in place of his club colleague David Young.

It means that team captain Eoin Kelly is set to start Sunday's encounter, despite the five-time All-Star suffering an injury scare.

The Mullinahone clubman had suffered a slight recurrence of a back injury that has troubled him in the past two campaigns.

It is expected that he may require an injection to see him through the afternoon.

With his side having accounted for Galway at the quarter-final stage, Sheedy is looking forward to a hard-fought Munster derby.

"These are the games you relish at this time of the year," he said.

"It has been a tough road for us since losing to Cork on May 18, but it is nice to be back in an All-Ireland semi-final.

"There's a lot of fences to be jumped along the way, but thankfully we have got over all of the hurdles so far."

The Tipp boss has been happy with the preparations of his side for this weekend's semi-final showdown.

"We had a round of club games, and thankfully everyone came through unscathed from those.

"It's always good to give them a bit of a breather (from county action) and lads are back in again and really, really are enjoying their training.

"They showed great heart and determination against Galway and certainly there is a great feel-good buzz in the camp."
