Dubs set for second double header

The Dublin hurlers and footballers have been paired together for another Croke Park double header next Saturday, with Ulster's Antrim and Armagh the visitors to GAA headquarters.

Only 22,107 spectators turned up for the Dublin sides' two qualifier clashes with Clare and Tipperary last Saturday, a very disappointing attendance considering the crowds the Dublin footballers have drawn in recent seasons.

Croke Park will again play host to Pat Gilroy's Dubs as they take on Armagh in a mouth-watering third round SFC qualifier. That game will throw in at 5pm, with Anthony Daly's Dublin hurlers battling it out with Ulster champions Antrim in the curtain raiser (throw-in 3pm).

A win for Daly's men would see them qualify for the All-Ireland quarter-finals for the second year running. Galway and Cork or Waterford await the winners of next weekend's phase 3 qualifiers, with Tipperary and Offaly battling it out for the other quarter-final spot in Portlaoise on Sunday.

Sunday afternoon will see Wexford entertaining recently dethroned Munster champions Cork in the third round of the football qualifiers, while the much-anticipated Connacht and Ulster football finals are also down for decision.

Saturday will be another busy day for GAA supporters as apart from the two matches at Croke Park, Derry and Offaly host Kildare and Down respectively in the football qualifiers, and the replay of the Munster hurling final between Cork and Waterford will get underway at 7pm at Semple Stadium.

There will be extra-time if necessary in the Thurles rematch, as is the case for the qualifier matches.
