Galvin won't seek hearing
Kerry GAA chiefs last night confirmed Paul Galvin has accepted the eight weeks ban proposed by the Central Competitions Control Committee.
Galvin had the option of taking his case to the Central Hearings Committee but decided against it.
Kerry chairman Jerome Conway said: "Paul decided he will not be seeking a hearing. He realises what he did was wrong. Now we must move on and focus on the Munster final."
Galvin's proposed suspension came after an altercation with Cork’s Eoin Cadogan during last Sunday’s Munster football semi-final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The CCCC proposed a four weeks ban for Galvin following a review of the incident. That was automatically doubled as the Finuge forward has already served a ban for the same category offence this year, ironically following a clash with Cadogan in the NFL meeting of the counties in February.
