Cassidy hands debuts to Bateson and Mullan
Derry manager Damian Cassidy has handed debuts to Michael Bateson and Declan Mullan, after naming his side for Sunday's Ulster Preliminary round clash with Armagh at Celtic Park (2pm).
Bateson is named at half-back, while Mullan is picked at wing-forward.
Coleraine player Mullan impressed during the Oak Leafers recent National League game against Galway, scoring 1-2.
Michael McGoldrick is out of the side, after being ruled out because of an injury earlier in the week, and his place is taken by Bateson, who lines up alongside captain Gerard O'Kane and Barry McGuigan.
Patsy Bradley partners Fergal Doherty at centrefield while Mullan, now fit after a hamstring injury, is picked in the half-forwards with Sean Leo McGoldrick and Mark Lynch.
Raymond Wilkinson edges out James Kielt for the third place in the full-forward line alongside the Bradley brothers Eoin and Paddy.
Veteran forward, Enda Muldoon is named on the bench, as he continues his recovery from a foot injury.
Meanwhile, Kevin McCloy is also ruled out, after being troubled by a back injury in recent weeks.
