GAA players make most of downtime before new season
The GAA ban on collective intercounty training means many of the country's top stars are enjoying their festive break and downtime ahead of the recommencement of action in the New Year.
None more so than Kilkenny's Martin Comerford whose late goal in the 2009 All-Ireland Senior Hurling final in September helped finish off Tipperary.
The Kilkenny forward played down talk of five in a row as he prepared for a break in the Far East before an outing in the Walsh Cup in January.
The O'Loughlin Gaels forward has revealed a trip to Malaysia is on the cards with Comerford planning to make the most of "warm weather training in downtown Malaysia".
