Dublin-Kerry clash set for Bank Holiday Monday
The hotly-anticipated All-Ireland SFC quarter-final between Dublin and Kerry has been scheduled for next Monday at Croke Park (throw-in 2pm), with the game to be preceded by the Kerry v Roscommon minor quarter-final.
It will the heavyweight pair's first Senior Championship meeting since they collided at GAA headquarters in a 2007 semi-final which Kerry won by 1-15 to 0-16.
The GAA have confirmed the dates, throw-in times and venues for next weekend's blanket schedule of football fixtures, with extra time to be played if necessary in all eight senior and minor games.
The one remaining round four qualifier match between Limerick and Meath will be staged at Portlaoise's O'Moore Park on Saturday evening, with a 7pm throw-in.
RTÉ Two will have live coverage of that encounter, as Limerick bid to repeat their win over the Royals in last year's qualifiers.
Ian Ryan memorably scored 3-07 that day as the Shannonsiders claimed a 4-12 to 4-03 victory.
The RTÉ cameras will be back at a resurfaced Croke Park on Sunday for a juicy double header of SFC quarter-finals - Cork v Donegal and Tyrone v Kildare.
And Dublin against their old rivals Kerry - undoubtedly the tie of the last eight - has been given a televised Bank Holiday billing, with the action getting underway at 2pm.
