Kerry drop O Sé and Cooper

It has been alleged that former All-Stars Colm Cooper and Tomas O Sé will miss Kerry's All-Ireland SFC fourth round qualifier against Antrim in Tullamore on Sunday because of breaches of discipline.

It is reported that the duo were among six players disciplined by Kingdom manager Jack O'Connor during a "clear the air" meeting with his squad on Tuesday night.

O'Connor is not commenting on the issue, although it is highly likely that the pair will be sanctioned heavily and miss this weekend's clash as a result.

In a break with tradition O'Connor is not expected to name his side to face Antrim until the day of the game, with the disciplining of Cooper and O Sé not the only negative issue surrounding the squad.

Key forward and current Young Footballer of the Year Tommy Walsh is also a major doubt.

Walsh faces a race for fitness to be ready for Sunday's game after picking up an ankle injury during training.

Kieran Donaghy has already been sidelined through injury, while there are doubts over the fitness of Tadhg Kennelly leaving the Kingdom with fewer options in attack.

Meanwhile, Kerry goalkeeper Diarmuid Murphy has admitted that his side's form is not up to scratch this year.

"We are playing in patches," he admitted to the Kerryman newspaper.

"We play for 10 minutes, we play for 15 minutes and then drop our intensity and let teams back into it again.

"That is not where we were a few years ago when when we would have pushed on for the whole game. That seems to be our problem at the moment.

"Thankfully we are still in there for another weekend and we will tackle Antrim and see how it goes."
