Clare edge out WIT

Clare edged out Waterford IT at Meelick to progress through to next weekend's Waterford Crystal Cup final.

Wind assisted, Mike McNamara's Clare side raced into a 2-08 to 0-05 half-time lead with goals from Alan Markham (after 10 seconds) and Barry Nugent.

WIT then enjoyed a purple patch with points from TJ Reid and Ronan Good and a goal from Timmy Hammersley.

Efforts from Reid and Hammersley cut the gap to a single point but a late brace from Camin Morey saw Clare prevail.
