WIT coast home in Kerry clash

Waterford 2-22 Kerry 1-07, Abbeydorney

A brace of second half goals from Tipperary's Ray McLoughney powered the WIT students to a facile 18-point win at Abbeydorney in the Waterford Crystal Cup.

Last year's Fitzgibbon Cup champions were in outstanding form and led by 0-11 to 0-02 at the interval.

Kerry upped their game in the second half with a goal from Lixnaw's James Flaherty.

His club-mate John Griffin (0-04) was also impressive but with Timmy Hammersley and Richie McCarthy sharing 12 points between them, WIT coasted home.
