Kingston goal the difference for Laois

A 55th-minute Donie Kingston goal helped shoot 14-man Laois through to the second round of the All-Ireland qualifiers this evening.

Longford manager Luke Dempsey will be disappointed by his side's poor shooting during this Pearse Park tie - they shot 13 wides in all.

Laois only led by 0-05 to 0-04 at the break but they finished well - Kingston top-scored with 1-03.

A second yellow for defender Padraig McMahon late on failed to unsettle the O'Moore men as they advanced to the next round.
