Dublin prepare for tilt at Sam Maguire trophy
Dublin did not find out too much about their summer potential with a one-sided 22-point victory over Roscommon in their weekend national football league encounter, but if anything it did show how desperately all the squad are to be involved in their championship games from throw in.
The Connacht side are managerless and the Dubs ran out 3-20 to 0-7 winners in Parnell Park, but for Paul Caffrey it allowed him to observe more of the eager squad members at close quarters as he prepares to form his battle plan in a bid to land the elusive Sam Maguire trophy which has not spent a winter in Dublin since 1995.
The game was also notable by the inclusion of a contingent from the 2008 All Ireland club championship winners St Vincents.
One of the club championship medal winners, Mossy Quinn, has been named today as an Adidas brand ambassador for the coming season following his contribution of 1-3 at the weekend.
