Wins for Fermanagh and Leitrim in division 3

Fermanagh 0-11 Louth 0-10

Fermanagh held on by a slender one-point margin at Tempo in this well-contested NFL Division 3 clash.

The hosts took an early 0-03 to 0-0 lead and following a Shane Lennon goal miss, Fermanagh led by two points after 17 minutes.

Louth responded well thanks to good work from Aaron Hoey and Brian White as they took a 0-7 to 0-6 interval lead.

Although Paddy Keenan was introduced after half-time for Louth, they fell behind in the final quarter and Fermanagh eventually won out.

Limerick 1-12 Wexford 1-12

Wexford's unbeaten run in NFL Division 3 continued at the Gaelic Grounds after a 71st-minute point from Redmond Barry handed them a share of the spoils against Limerick.

The Shannonsiders led by 1-9 to 0-6 at the interval after making a very strong start to the game. Wexford had Eric Bradley dismissed before the break.

As injury-time approached, the hosts held a 1-12 to 1-11 advantage but the Mattie Forde-less Wexford attacked and Barry came up trumps, capping a determined second half comeback.

Leitrim 1-12 Sligo 0-6

The dismissal of Eamon O'Hara cost Sligo badly as neighbours Leitrim secured a nine-point win at Carrick-on-Shannon this afternoon.

The strong contribution of Emlyn Mulligan helped the hosts to a 0-5 to 0-3 interval lead, with Eamon Cawley on target for Sligo in a half where Leitrim hit five wides.

On the restart, O'Hara was sent-off following an off the ball incident and this rocked the visitors.

Using their extra man, Leitrim pulled clear with substitute Fintan McBrien putting in an outstanding second half display.
