Duffy announced as GAA's new director general

Monaghan man Paraic Duffy has been confirmed as the GAA's new Director General. The appointment was announced following a meeting of the GAA's Management Committee this evening and will take effect from February 1, 2008.

Monaghan man Paraic Duffy has been confirmed as the GAA's new Director General. The appointment was announced following a meeting of the GAA's Management Committee this evening and will take effect from February 1, 2008.

Duffy is succeeding Liam Mulvihill in the role and his term of office will be for a seven-year period.
