THE man who pioneered the development of Croke Park stadium is to be honoured in his native Co Limerick.

Monaghan man Paraic Duffy has been confirmed as the GAA's new Director General. The appointment was announced following a meeting of the GAA's Management Committee this evening and will take effect from February 1, 2008.
