Monaghan unchanged for Saturday qualifier
Monaghan manager Seamus McEnaney has kept faith with the team that lost the Ulster final, naming an unchanged side for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC third round qualifier against Donegal at Healy Park (throw-in 7pm).
However McEnaney has made a number of position switches for the all-Ulster encounter in Omagh.
John Paul Mone moves from midfield to left half-back, Dick Clerkin is switched from right half-forward to midfield, with team captain Damien Freeman now in an advanced role at left half-forward. He was at wing back for the Tyrone game.
There are further changes in the Farney county attack with Stephen Gollogly moving from left half-forward to right half-forward, and Rory Woods and Paul Finlay have also swapped positions.
Saturday's clash is Monaghan's first championship meeting with Donegal since 1995 when the Farney men won an Ulster quarter-final by 1-14 to 0-8.
It will be the eleventh championship fixture between Monaghan and Donegal with the score standing 7-3 in Monaghan’s favour. Donegal’s last win over Monaghan was in 1983 when they won an Ulster semi-final by 1-14 to 1-9.
