O'Driscoll ruled out for Dubs

Dublin forward Padraig O'Driscoll has been ruled out of contention for his side's All-Ireland SHC qualifier against Tipperary on Saturday at Parnell Park (throw-in 3pm).

O'Driscoll suffered a dislocated elbow following a collision with Diarmuid O'Sullivan late on in the Dubs' qualifier defeat to Cork last Saturday.

The Lucan Sarsfields clubman was brought to Beaumont Hospital afterwards where his arm was put in a cast.

The Dublin hurlers have had bad luck recently with injuries to key players.

Their league top scorer Kevin O'Reilly is out for the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament tear, midfielder John McCaffrey has had his championship disrupted by a groin injury, and defenders Philip Brennan and Derek O'Reilly have both been battling hamstring injuries.

O'Driscoll, who lined out at full-forward against Wexford and Cork last month, is to have a check-up later this week to determine whether he can play again this season.

Meanwhile, the Dublin County Board have confirmed that Saturday's qualifier clash between Dublin and Tipperary is not an all-ticket game.

Cash will be taken at the Parnell Park turnstiles.
