Kerry unchanged for Munster decider
Kerry manager Pat O'Shea has named an unchanged team for Sunday's Munster SFC final showdown with reigning champions Cork (Killarney, throw-in 2pm).
For his first provincial final in charge of the Kerry seniors, O'Shea has given the thumbs up to the fifteen players who started the 2-15 to 0-4 semi-final win over Waterford on June 3.
That means young defenders Padraig Reidy of Scartaglin and Renard's Killian Young, who both made their first championship starts against Waterford, have retained their places in the Kerry rearguard.
Kerins O'Rahilly's giant Micheal Quirke remains as Darragh S Si's midfielder partner, while the Kingdom's attack includes four current or former All-Stars in Paul Galvin, Colm Cooper, Kieran Donaghy and Mike Frank Russell.
Tommy Griffin, Declan Quill and Bryan Sheehan, who was Kerry's top scorer (0-25) in last year's championship, have to be content with places on the bench once again.
Kerry met Cork on three occasions in the 2006 championship, drawing in the Munster final in Killarney - 0-10 apiece - before Cork won the replay by 1-12 to 0-9 in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. However, the Kingdom got revenge in the All-Ireland semi-final at Croke Park which they won by 0-16 to 0-10, en route to winning the title.
KERRY (SFC v Cork) - D Murphy; P Reidy, T O'Sullivan, M S Si; T S Si, A O'Mahony, K Young; D S Si, M Quirke; Declan O'Sullivan (capt), E Brosnan, P Galvin; C Cooper, K Donaghy, MF Russell.
