McCaffrey ruled out for Dubs

Dublin's hurlers will take on Cork this Saturday without the services of midfielder John McCaffrey who is still troubled by an on-going groin injury.

McCaffrey has not played since the Dublin U-21s' Leinster quarter-final win over Kildare last month.

Captain of the Metropolitans' U-21 side, he was notable absentee for the U-21s' semi-final success against Wexford last Wednesday and will miss the seniors' opening All-Ireland qualifier against Cork this weekend, with his injury failing to clear.

Dublin manager Tommy Naughton is set to name his team for the clash with the Rebels after training tonight. Defenders Philip Brennan and Derek O'Reilly, who are both nursing hamstring injuries, as Naughton's biggest injury worries.

Meanwhile, the GAA have confirmed that Saturday's qualifier between Dublin and Cork at Parnell Park (throw-in 3.30pm) will be an all-ticket game.

Match tickets are currently only available through clubs and County Boards. Any surplus tickets will be placed on general sale through Ticketmaster outlets and the GAA website, www.gaa.ie, later in the week.

Adult ticket prices are €20 for the stand and €15 for the terraces. Senior citizen tickets are €10, student admission to the terraces is €10 and juveniles will be admitted for €5 to the terraces.
