Ulster SHC draw amended
The draw for the 2007 Ulster Senior Hurling Championship has been amended, following the New York GAA Board's decision to withdraw from the competition due to dwindling player numbers.
New York chairman Seamus Dooley recently admitted that the Big Apple side had lost 11 players from last year's panel.
New York, who lost last year's final to Antrim, had been scheduled to host Down in the first semi-final of the Ulster championship on May 20.
New York's withdrawal meant Down were going to go straight into this summer's Ulster final, but the Ulster Council has rearranged the draw to give it a more balanced look.
There will be one quarter-final, Derry v Armagh, with the winners of that facing Down in the semi-finals a week later. The other last-four tie will see defending champions Antrim clash with London.
2007 GUINNESS ULSTER SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW:
May 13 - Quarter-final - Derry v Armagh, Casement Park; Semi-final - Antrim v London, Casement Park
May 20 - Semi-final - Down v Derry or Armagh, Casement Park
June 3 - Final, venue tbc.
