Despite his unavailability until the summer, John O'Brien has been chosen by county champions Toomevara to captain the Tipperary senior hurlers in 2007.

Despite his unavailability until the summer, John O'Brien has been chosen by county champions Toomevara to captain the Tipperary senior hurlers in 2007.

O'Brien is still recovering from the leg injuries (a dislocated and fractured hip) he suffered in a car accident before Christmas and is not expected to link up with Babs Keating's Tipp panel until May.
