Having ended his inter-county hurling career two seasons ago, former Tipperary captain Tommy Dunne is on the verge of quitting the club game.

The 32-year-old, who skippered Tipp to All-Ireland glory in 2001, has conceded that once Toomevara's run in the AIB All-Ireland SHC is over, he will retire fully from hurling.
