Dublin unchanged as Mayo sweat on Padden fitness
Dublin football manager Paul Caffrey has named side for today’s SFC semi-final in Croke Park.
Mayo are waiting on a late fitness test for Billy Joe Padden, but are also unchanged otherwise from the team that beat Laois last Sunday.
This will be the first time since 1985 that the sides have clashed in the championship. They drew (1-13 each) in the 1985 All-Ireland semi-final before Dublin won the replay by 2-12 to 1-7.
Their previous All-Ireland semi-final championship clash also ended in a draw in 1955 when after drawing (Dublin 0-7 Mayo 1-4), Dublin won the replay by 1-8 to 1-7.
Throw-in is at 4pm with Tipperary's Paddy Russell as referee.
Roscommon and Meath contest the minor semi-final at 12.30pm. Leitrim face Louth in the Tommy Murphy Cup final at 2pm.
