Bonner back for the Dubs
Kevin Bonner has earned a recall to the Dublin team for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Westmeath (Croke Park, throw-in 4pm).
The St. Brigid's clubman passed a fitness test tonight and has been named at full-forward by Paul Caffrey for the all-Leinster tie.
Bonner injured his toe before last month's Leinster final against Offaly and was forced to pull out of the line-up, with his club mate Declan Lally taking his place.
But in a straight swap, Bonner will return this weekend after Lally failed to impress against the Faithfuls.
As expected, the remainder of the side is unchanged with the five other forwards - Conal Keaney (0-17 (9f)), Mossie Quinn (2-10 (6f)), Alan Brogan (0-7), Ray Cosgrove (1-3) and Jason Sherlock (1-1) - having contributed 4-38 of the 5-44 tally the Dubs have scored in their three games to date.
Senan Connell, David O'Callaghan, Darren Magee, Stephen O'Shaughnessy and 2006 captain Colin Moran, who were all used as substitutes in the Leinster final, remain in reserve.
Caffrey's starting line-up contains eight of the side that started the 2004 Leinster quarter-final clash between the sides, which Westmeath won by 0-14 to 0-12.
DUBLIN (SFC v Westmeath) - S Cluxton; D Henry, B Cahill, P Griffin; P Casey, B Cullen (capt), C Goggins; C Whelan, S Ryan; C Keaney, A Brogan, R Cosgrove; J Sherlock, K Bonner, T Quinn.
