Glennon a doubt for Westmeath
Denis Glennon has emerged as a doubt for Westmeath's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Dublin on Saturday week.
The Tyrrellspass forward, who scored two points in the qualifier win over Galway, injured his knee during the Salthill tie last weekend but played on for the full 70 minutes.
Westmeath boss Tomás O Flatharta is awaiting news of scan results on Glennon's knee.
An All-Star nominee two seasons ago, Glennon has shown his versatility in the Lakesiders' last three wins by lining out at full-forward, corner-forward and centre-forward.
Should he be ruled out, Glennon's place could go to either James Durkan and John Connellan - the two minor stars who have made their SFC debuts in recent weeks - while Athlone clubman Joe Fallon is also on the comeback trail after a knee injury.
David O'Shaughnessy is expected to start the Croke Park clash - the Garrycastle midfielder showed no signs of his recent Achilles tendon injury when he put in a brilliant 40 minutes as a substitute against Galway.
O'Shaughnessy captained his county to a 0-14 to 0-12 victory when they last met the Dubs at headquarters in June 2004. Kerryman O Flatharta was assistant to Paidí O Sé in the Westmeath think-tank back then.
