O'Shaughnessy ruled out of Dubs' opener
Dublin defender Stephen O'Shaughnessy has been ruled out of contention for his side's Leinster SFC opener against Longford on Sunday week.
The Lucan Sarsfield star, who has not played for eight months, is battling to recover from the shoulder injury which saw him miss the entire National League campaign.
O'Shaughnessy broke his collarbone last summer but recovered to play in the Leinster final win over Laois and against Tyrone in the All-Ireland quarter-final. His form earned his an All-Star nomination but a reccurence of an old shoulder injury has seen him sidelined since October.
Now back in semi-contact training, O'Shaughnessy seems certain to play some part in the Dubs' championship run as he is due to return to full training next week.
