Galway v Sligo postponed until next Saturday

Today’s Connacht Championship Quarter-Final clash between Galway and Sligo has been postponed.

The match will be replayed next Saturday at Pearse Stadium at 5:00pm.

The minor game between the same two counties was abandoned at half time, Galway led by 0-06 to 1-01, but will be also be replayed next weekend, starting at 3:30pm.

Elsewhere, the Nissan Irish Open, both the days’ Eircom League fixtures and racing at Gowran and Navan were also affected by bad weather.
