Gaelic Grounds to host NFL final
Limerick's Gaelic Grounds has been chosen to host the 2006 Allianz National Football League Division One final next Sunday.
The decider between heavyweights Kerry, the champions in 2004, and Galway, who last won the League title in 1981, will take place in Limerick with a 5.30pm throw-in.
Kerry beat Galway by 3-11 to 1-16 in the 2004 League final. The Kingdom also won by 1-11 to 0-11 when the counties met in the 1984 decider.
Meanwhile, the 2006 NFL Division Two final between Donegal and Louth has been fixed for Kingspan Breffni Park in Cavan with a 3.30pm throw-in.
The fixtures and venues were decided upon at a meeting of the GAA's Games Administration Committee last night.
The Cadbury's All-Ireland Under-21 football semi-finals will act as curtain-raisers to both senior games.
There will be a 1.45pm start for the Under-21s of Mayo and Tyrone at Breffni Park, whilst the Kerry-Galway tussle will be preceded by the Laois v Cork Under-21 tie (throw-in 3.30pm).
