Derry take comfortable win over Wexford

ALLIANZ NFL DIVISION 1B

Wexford 1-05 Derry 0-13

Dominant Derry had plenty to spare at Wexford Park when beating an out-of-sorts Wexford.

Forwards Enda Muldoon (0-5) and Eoin Bradley (0-4), whose brother Paddy was forced off early with concussion, top-scored for the Oak Leafers as they claimed their second win in NFL Division 1B.

Mattie Forde converted a first-half penalty to help last year’s finalists trail 1-2 to 0-8 at the break.

But Derry were in complete control in the second half, with wing-back Liam Hinphey cracking over two impressive points. Francis McEldowney (Derry) and David Fogarty (Wexford) were both sent off for their second bookable offences.
