Selector role for former Cat Power
Former Kilkenny forward John Power has returned to the inter-county fold as a selector for the Cats' intermediate hurlers.
The John Lockes clubman has taken on the role for the 2006 season, working alongside team manager Maurice Power (Carrickshock) and fellow selectors Tom Donoghue (Dicksboro), Michael Duggan (Mullinavat) and Pat Joyce (Emeralds).
Power ended his prolific inter-county career in 2002 and retired from club hurling last year. The 39-year-old won four All-Ireland SHC medals, seven Leinster SHC medals, three National League medals and two AllStar awards as a Kilkenny senior.
